#349378 UPDATE:

Finally got new struts and springs on the hatch. Factory for now. Have a lot of restoration to do before i can start building a motor.

^^^Rlca's removed to replace strut bushing.

Image
^^^Broke a few bolt's as well.

Image

Image
^^^Cleaned and painted lca's.

Image
^^^All back together with new bushing's and hardware.

Image
^^^Anybody know wth these are?? lol

Image
^^^Also got a couple new gauges mounted and installed. Oil press and ammeter.

All in all it's been a busy few months with little work done to the hatch but upcoming improvements include replacing the rear quarters (parts are on the way for this), ES master kit install, new front fenders and finding a hatch or coupe front bumper cover.

#350350 those aluminum block things are coil spring spacers. you twist them in to stiffen the suspention or i guess give it some lift?

#350572 Ok, so a few new things to post here. Was poking around the junkyard the other day and happened across a 96' coupe with a Y8. So i pirated the intake mani and rail for $20.

Then a few days ago was poking around craigslist and found a set of wheels for $50!!

13x5.5 with dual 4 lug bolt patterns. The tires are trash but the wheels are near flawless. Zero curb rash. Anyone ever heard of Modern wheels??? lol

I also decided that i like the look of the newer civic rear bumpers and tried my hand at a custom rear bumper. Here is the result.

Also on the way is my ES master bushiong kit, Trailing arm bushings and a DNA motoring exhaust header so stay tuned!!

Good to hear! We should set up a place and time to meet some day lol. Hell, I could probably come out to you to check out your ride.

I have no clue on that wheel company. I see those wheels alot, but they are pretty old. I'm not sure if they are a part of another, bigger wheel manufacturer or if they where an independent company and disappeared. :?

#350720 Another pretty sizable update here folks. Got some tires mounted on my wheels and installed on the car. Center caps or no??

Also, finally got my ES master kit + trailing arms. My DNA motoring header arrived as well and is installed. Seems to be pretty good quality for the price point too.

The only down side is that i broke and exhaust manifold stud during the install but it doesnt seem to be leaking. All in all it has been a good month for the hatch so far. Cant wait to get those bushings installed!!

#350763 Dude! I keep forgetting to offer you this:

My old bumper. It's not perfect. The previous owner cut the "grill" for fog lamps. There are no cracks or splits though. And, it's a coupe/hatch bumper! FREE! FREE! FREE! Let me know.
