#342955 Ok got a little bit more work done on the car. finished grinding down everything and sand blasted all the welded spots and all the spot welds so we can start body filler. put some primer down so the body filler grabs onto it nice. and got some body filler down and waiting for it to dry. so we are going to continue tomorrow with it. also found out we are able to get some of the under coating on the fender wells off with the sandblaster so going to continue doing that as well.

#344128 Nice work! it's defiantly time consuming to shave the bay , but well worth it in the end. Keep up the good work :thumb:

#344329 i hope it will be well worth it. i just have a lot of other stuff going on and trying to finish the few things on the sandrail i need to finish to sell it. but this should be going to my buddies body shop to get the bay finished soon. then i am going to be doing the brake line tuck, installing the rear disk conversion and the staging brake.

#345765 well i haven't updated this thread because i kinda lost interest for a little while and started working on my sandrail again getting it ready to sell.

yesterday i was bored at work and decided to buy the stuff i need to do the brake line tuck as i need to do that before i can get the bay painted.

here is what i bought

Type R 98+ non ABS master cylinder and resevior

http://www.rywire.com/catalog/typer-98- ... p-159.html

CNC straight handle staging break

http://www.sandparts.com/servlet/the-17 ... sh-/Detail

and the fittings for the brake line tuck

http://downstarinc.com/Shop/index.php?_ ... duct_id=38

this week i plan to get the sandrail all back together and back in storage for now then i will bring the civic to my house and get it up in the air and do the rear disk conversion and start on the brake line tuck.

#346861 Got some work on the civic done this weekend. had to go to the junk yard and get a 98+ brake booster because my master cylinder didn't bolt up to the one that was on the car. then i started figuring out where the lines were going to through the firewall. Drilled some holes and started making lines.

Then my dad came over and helped me with the rear lines. Since i wont have an exhaust running down the exhaust tunnel we decided to bring the rear lines in through the tunnel especially because i am installing a staging brake also.

Next the car goes to the body shop to get the engine bay painted then everything goes from the teg into the civic.

Here is what it looked like before i removed everything. and i did remove everything a few months ago to start the bay

here is after i mounted the brake booster, master cylinder and drilled through the firewall

and here is after i made the lines i might change them to silver lines or something not sure yet

here are the pics of the rear lines and how we did them

#346963 Loving the progress, reminds me of the work I done on my coupe, but I didn't have the patients to run copper pipes so went all out with custom full length braided front, rear, clutch, and fuel lines.

#347326 so i took the car to my buddy that owns a body shop as i was tired of sanding and he got it ready for paint. the bay should be painted in the next few days.

#347359 Going to have this ready for desert fest?
By 99integraGSR
#347378 nope probably wont be done until next year. i will be sending my transmission off to liberty gear once i get it out of the integra.

If my tuner wants my corvette in his booth i will put it in there but nothing else. it was a disaster getting the cars into the show last year because they didn't let us in until the spectators were allowed in and that made it a cluster f*ck

#347387 well the painter send me pics of the bay painted didn't expect that today.
