#260382 With ACT, all clutches above the stock replacement are the same material. The only change is the clamping force of the pressure plate, how many pucks, and either rigid or sprung. To me, more suface area would be better. But the lighter the disc, the faster the shift. And I found that out last night :P I honsestly dont get how the four puck is better as far as holding the power, but it seems to work

#260572 Na. I stay away from street tires on the drag strip. It's like driving on ice doing that. Just spins. Thanks man!

I gotcha, what about on the street? Gear dependent boost? I would imagine. 600 would BLOW the tires off.....

#260724 I only drive on 91octane pump gas on the street. On wastegate pressure that made 390hp@11psi. And ran a best of 11.6 letting off at the 1000ft mark.

#260979 Went racing last night. Awesome effing night. First pass was against a good friend of mine. His first ever pass.

Here's the slip. I'm in the left lane.

Here's a pic of all three runs. Starting on the right and working left. 1,2,3.

Uploading vids right now. i'll post them later. We made no adjustments since the last few times. Just this time the clutch held. Track was shit. Skated all over the place in 3rd and 4th.

This is a good friend of mine, he tuned my car. This was an awesome pass for being at our elevation. and for being a shake down pass. 30psi was all. 9.13@165

Thanks guys :thumb:

It's been a minute, here is a small update..

Went out bracket racing friday night. Had a lot of fun, got #1 qualifier with a .006 light. Made it all the way to the finals, and the 1-2 shift did me dirty...

Image

This was only on 11psi. So not crazy power. But i found the culprit....

The bolt that i had on the clutch cable arm had a nut on the back side, well the nut is no longer there. The first pic shows the angle the bolt SHOULD be at.
Image

This is how the bolt sat..
Image

Meaning the clutch wasnt disengaging. So basically i did a 1-2 WOT shift with out the clutch. oops haha. Trans still works enough that i drove the car 30miles back home, and then to cars and coffee the next morning. Just skipped 2nd gear :P

moar trophy action.

Have to do something about this though....
wheel moving inside the tire.
Image

So trans main shaft is eff'd, but the guy i got this trans swap from just pulled through, and sold me a main shaft. HUGE thanks to Mike Bax. Saved me there. :thumb: until next time.....
