Registration is also done. Friday the brakes will be bled and the car should be back on the road again.

- Sat Jul 02, 2011 2:16 pm #261970 Didn't get a chance to bleed the brakes yesterday. We were tired as hell and just wanted to relax. Monday we'll bleed them, I'll take some pictures and then we'll get the car inspected.

- Tue Jul 05, 2011 1:45 am #262323 Brakes were bled, but still need more work. Need to bleed the coolant as well now. The main relay crapped out on my today too.

I did get a chance to put in my new walbro 255hp pump. Drove the car around the block as well. Feels nice, just need to get the brakes the coolant temps in check.

Headlights (JDM or EDM)

And for the insides, the whole center console in black. since my was stolen.


Need to roll and pull the fenders some since Im rubbing on hard corners.

Another update. I got bored and took a sander to the hood. Here is how it turned out.








I need to find out what the VW guys use to help promote rusting.

Cyl 1 - 150

Cyl 4 - 60

Something just isnt right there... Wet Test should be next, but I just dont care at the moment. Runs fine the way it is. If it craps out, oh well.

Yesturday, it started runnin like shit all of a sudden. Turned out the T belt decided it didnt like where it was on the cam gears. So it tried a new location for the hell of it. I bent it over my knee and spanked it back in to the right position. Timing is back at 16* BTDC. All is good besides some strange random rattle noice. Still not sure what it is, or where its really coming from.
