Post YOUR Hatchback here

#340810 something is wrong with that ls vtec if a ls sedan is faster lol. even with stock ls pistons and a vtec head it should be in the 150-160whp range. a stock LS will be lucky to see 125-130.

My sedan is GSR though, with some work done. more like 200 range on it.

#340816 Hatch is lighter as well. What ecu are you running on the sedan?

Sedan has a chipped P28 flashed for bolt ons, butterfly valve elimination (since i'm running a Skunk2 manifold), and a 9k redline.

I love my GSR. It's just a genuine quality motor all around. Even though it's tuned, I was still perfectly happy with it STOCK.

#340917 Well the Hatch is legal now! Got the registration and new plate today. Now I just need to push it into the shop and start playing with it.

Yup, hopefully. I'm waiting on a new coolant temp sensor in the mail that should be here today. The check engine light was throwing a code 6, so I went to investigate and I found that the wires had been cut, and were reconnected with spade connectors and they were shorting out. I fixed the wiring harness, but the sensor was still toast. Hopefully this will fix the issue with it running really rich and rough.

#341092 Welp, I got the sensor in and swapped it out, and I still had a code 6.

So I started looking around and noticed two connectors looked identical but with different wire and connector colors, one going to the ECT, and one a little over going into the block that looked like an oil pressure sensor.

So I popped the hood on the sedan and compared sensors and wire colors, and low and behold the previous owner in his infinite wisdom had them swapped. So I swapped them back, reset the ECU, and the hatch came alive!

It's quick now, but still not quite as fast as the GSR. It sounds mean with that whale-dick intake, and the exhaust has a muscle car tone to it. (probably thanks to the Cherry Bomb). VTEC engagement isn't as prominent as the GSR, but it's there.

Now to work on correcting the camber and body work.

#341102 Holy crap good work figuring that wiring mess out dude. Just curious did the hatch have a manual radiator fan switch? (Why do people mess with cooling lol)

No, from the looks of it nothing's been rigged. But the harness has seen better days, so on my list of stuff to get is a new B-series harness. I can make due with what's there, but I'll be too OCD eventually to let it stay with splice connectors all over it.

#341175 Working slowly at getting the body straight. Unwelded the tailgate from the body and respiced the wires to get the reverse lights working again. But the hinges are warped, so I'll have to pull them out further and possibly use some spacers. But I can open it again. Slowly but surely it's getting back to functionality.

#341180 Already in the planning stage to do a rattle can paint job.

Gonna be an ultra-flat military style paint job, either full Olive Drab or a camouflage pattern.
