- Fri Mar 25, 2011 1:03 am #246003 I think i have a problem with my Cat. I do not want to take it off, and im getting worse gas milage. I threw a check engine light, so took it to a mechanic and he checked it and said i should replace my o2 sensor. So i did and the light came on again so i took it back. Now he said it could be my Cat. So i checked the temp with a laser gun before and after the cat and the temp is about 100F hotter at the outlet. So that seems fine. But i threw a code, and my gas milage is worse, but the cat seems to pass with the laser temp test. Any ideas?
