looks legit

looks legit, but it doesnt prevent someone from towing your car

i heard it helps to turn ur wheels all the way on side or the other, and shut off ur car in 1st gear or whatever gear u prefer. but that wont work if ur being towed from the front or its a flatbed etc.... ehhh :? yea forget it were still screwed.

odd of that happening is very very slim though.

#300494 haha just read this i know this thread is old, but i think someone would have a hard time stealin my car, no front wheels, no seats, no battery, half of a motor (that is trash anyway) the only thing they would get is a box full of junk parts from the old motor haha

#310361 I live in FL in the St. Pete/Tampa area. It's so bad with thief's here. It sucks that people cant make a honest living. Some people will drive down from Orlando, steal a car here then part it out on craigslist or other forums.

I have multiple kill switches (fuel, starter) also a battery cut off that has a removable piece, I remove the ecu & main relay everynight and even I know that that is not sufficient enough.

I'm going to invest in a Zoombak, check these out. If you love your car like I do. The amount of money is worth it. It has a bunch of good features.

Hope this helps,
Ben

alarmed, locked, steering lock on,all my kill switches working, with a locked gate i got home from work at 9.30 a.m got a shower and at 10.15 the car was gone fair enough i understand how lucky i am.

i got it back
i live in ireland and there are only so many places here that are as quick as you say to be able to disarm all that in 45 mins without tripping they alarm or any of my kill switch secondary systems is dahm near impossible but they did
got my car back with not even a scratch no broken pparts except what screwed with me and all of my mates heads was all my alarm gear worked perfect afterwards beat that !!!! hahahahah

#310385 here is how they done it !!!!!!!!! turned out it was an ex employee of they alarm company !!! u cannot stop your car being stolen but i suggest some sort of hidden tracker system as you have roughly 3 hours at most before you get nothing back except an insurace claim form but if your lucky like i was it would only take you twenty minutes and a phone call to the cops !!!

#310854 I've repo'd cars as a job for a while. when we need your car, nothign will stop us. my boss pepper sprayed a dog to keep it at bay, we dragged 09 911 down a drive way and onto a flat bad.

i've learned the only way to help get your car back is to install a Tracking unit, which is set off as soon as the car's weight is shifted.

my 91 civic i had had it installed and when my wife would come home and slam her car door beside my car i'd get a txt to my cell phone saying my car motion sensor was set off and an option to go to a link to track the car. Clifford alarms has a feature similar.

theft prevention is only going to be harmful to the car. like its been said. if they want it they will take it. so let them have it without ruining that car and just track where it goes, so you can get the cops to get it back.
