I did not find anything about disassembling and cleaning a c.v joint (i think its called that) here, so i made one, hope im not wasting my time
im not much of a writer so i put in a few photos..
so here it goes..
not good..
clean most off the grease away..
like so..
put youre finger in the hole and press it aside so one ball pops upp..
it should look like this then..
pry it out with a screwdriver ....
turn the "star" so the next ball pops up .. after you remove one ball all the other ones should just fall out ,if not use screwdriver..
and repeat until all balls are out..
the arrows point at markings on the ballcage , they should point up when reassembling ..
now turn the cage so it looks like this. the holes in the cage make room to just pull it up ..
and pull it up..
now this thingy..
just flip it up like so...
turn the "star 90 degrees...
and it roles out..
now clean all parts well and look fore cracks and damages in all parts..
this is not good..
cleaned and new parts ...
reassembling is just reverse off disassembling, i lube all parts with motor oil when i put it together. just remember the markings on the ballcase face up..
and this groove in the "star" face down..
hope u can figure it out from this..
but if u funk it up, u can at least weld it together and stick a candle in it..
it makes a good mothers day present ..
like so.....
