- Mon May 10, 2010 8:14 pm #192910 Just out of curiosity has anyone ever installed a fuel cell in their car? im looking to do some mods to my civic and a fuel cell is one of them mainly because the tank is getting old and well id prefer a fuel cell as i would also like to go racing and im sure they require it.....now id like to go ahead and install it in just about the same spot as the oem one maybe a little bit differently but i would prefer it to be in teh center of the car or as close as possible to it.....

my main concerns relate to filling up the cell as from what i see some dont have a tube and ive not yet seen one in a civic that goes to teh outside its all inside filling which i find dangerous....

- Sat May 22, 2010 6:27 pm #196175 You could make a side window out of lexan and cut a hole in it for a filler tube. Just make sure it's all sealed and pressure leak checked so you don't choke yourself out with fuel vapors...
