- Wed May 13, 2009 8:08 am #116543 Got a question. my friend got a b20vtec and he wanted to know if he can do a compression test when the engine is pulled out? we did one on his old b18 engine while he had the engine in, but what about when its out?

- Thu May 14, 2009 5:29 pm #116904 Just rig some leads to the starter. Keep the throttle at WOT. Keep in mind that a cold engine will have lower compression than a warm engine. Just look for variation.
