#335970 Hello!

I am thinking about buying one of those complete gasket/repair sets from ebay, which are offered at a good price and come with everything you need to change almost every gasket on the engine, but I am not really sure if they are good enough and if they won't just fail on the second month.
My D16Z6 is a stock engine with about 200 000 miles on it. The head gasket is broken and it burns oil, at a slow rate, but it does. So I am thinking that it is time for some repairs.

This is one of those kits I am talking about: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 1149793197

and another one

http://www.ebay.com/itm/140630057911?ss ... 1438.l2649

It is cheap and I wonder if it would hold. I am not going to be tuning the engine, but I don't want to hold back on giving it some hard time from time to time when I feel like it.

I checked out the price of an OEM head gasket kit and it is high - about $180, and it doesn't include bearings or oil pan gaskets.

If you have any advice on what sets are proven to be of quality please do share.

I appreciate your help in advance!

#336002 100% stay away. Don't have to go oem but I got a full gasket kit from ebay once. Wherever it could leak it did...

#336013 if you absolutely have to get a kit from ebay, go with this one.
they use either acl or king bearings and npr pistons and rings, and I've used their headgaskets in two different motors with no issues.
i would still recommend an oem headgasket though.

#341747 I used a ebay gasket kit on my d16/jdmd15b mini me

Wouldnt reccomend it really, the valve stem seals are leaking really badly after 10000k, but i was happy with everything else, no problems with the steel head gasket luckily :thumb:
