- Thu Jun 18, 2009 2:11 pm #123831 Hey guys!! I recently notice that when I start my hatch the cel light only come on for like 1 second, is this normal. From time to time the engine acts up and I never can fully press the gas pedal cause it'll just die. Any input??

- Thu Jun 18, 2009 8:52 pm #124106 you mean like during the normal 2 seconds when you turn the key to the II position that the main relay takes care of? it is supposed to prime the fuel pump while showing the CEL then click off when the fuel pump does.

or are you having it come on after you start the engine as well?

- Thu Jun 18, 2009 9:08 pm #124117 no it's really more like 1/2 second, it just blinks and never throws codes or anything. If put turn the key to the II position the light only blinks for a second or less. After I start the engine the light don't come on.
I really don't know what the hell is wrong with it. Thanks for the reply...

- Thu Jun 18, 2009 9:54 pm #124143 well i would start off by checking the main relay because it seems like it's not priming long enough? since the light isn't on during engine run, and doesn't throw a code, i would start there..... at least test it
