Ever built one?

I dont suggest a ls block w/a b16 head slapped on it. You wont enjoy it (expeically since you're wanting a b vtec engine to start with). As long as treat the engine as an "ls" and respect its low revving nature, it will be fine!

As far as cheapest, there's a member on here who just bought a full GSR swap for $1,000...

Just use the craiglist/internet to find what you're lookin' for.

We've built plenty of LS Vtecs that are reliable. low revving yes. the weak point is the rod bolts.

my B20vtec has gone up to 8.5K jsut fine. and many past LS vtecs have revved around 8.5-9K just fine with valve springs and retainers.

i would suggest an LS/vtec build follow the guide lines and reserach the build ups.

if you dont want to build one id say B16 you can pick up a long block for like 4-600 bucks pending your area.
