#109260 hay whats up guys ok i need some info... my drive belt snapped off (punches himself) now the question is can i just put a new belt on or is my timing thrown off from it snapping? and if so how do i put it back on time i have a SOHC ZC VTEC help?!

#109263 well if it snapped while driveing id check your compression first since you may have bent valves though you may have been lucky enough to not do such a thing anyhow check your compression. and after that set the head using the markings on the cam gear if all checked out that is to tdc as well as the bottom end and then reinstall your timing belt thats pretty much all you need to do to get it back in time....though im concerned about your valves......

#109269 Well i jumped at a light like a attemt to go fast but dident just pushed on clutch instead of pulling down the street and it ran till i turned a corner and shut off (asuming that the jump snapped the belt)

#109535 well most likely you would just need to either replace the valves or replace the head with one from a Z6 or something like that...you wouldnt need to get rid of the zc
