You know you can buy a complete aftermarket B series engine, right? Not just the block, but the head too. You can get them up to 2.2 liters. Endyn can build you an aftermarket B that is superior to the B18C5.
You could go with the F like Bisi.
But if it's a daily driver then it's the D all day long.
Had a built Endyne motor... No matter what you can't compare the numbers from a K-series to a B-series. I am a fan of the B-series but I know that they have way less potential than the K-series. Shit the valves stock are 3mm and 2mm larger. Thats stock. If you want to make more than 250WHP on a b-series you have to get oversized valves. Thats only one thing to compare. The list goes on.
In the END the K-series is on top. But to be honest that doesnt do anything for me. I am building both cause I believe B-series is the true heart transplant for Hondas. But I also want a REALLY FAST STOCK CAR, this is why I am building a Kswap for that project.
This disscussion will never have a good ending. Some many peope hate on K-series but I honest dont believe you can until you have one and actually take the time to understand the comparison between the two. If you have built numerous B-series and than swap in a stock K-series you will notice the smooth powerband from stock also you will notice power at 3000 RPM which the B-series lacks. The list goes on.
My true opinion is, PICK ONE AND STICK WITH IT OR BUILD BOTH AND HAVE PATIENCE AND MONEY.
