#133424 Ive just bought a eg hatch, and it has a very slight - consistent dent towards the front windshield, and follows the line of the windshield. Its as if its had a lot of weight - and its bent the metal.
My question is - is that how the civics roof is supposed to be? or not? Ill try and post some pictures later if necessary.
Thanks.

As I can see, theres a dented wing (a fender to you) and smashed indicator on the front (opposite sides).
No damage to the engine bay.

I have the feeling that someone has jumped on the roof :|

#133589 Im not american :P

Check under the bonnet for damage to the slam panel, inner wings etc - although it could be as simple as someone running over it etc :P

#133623 Thanks for the info Graham : )
Ill check it over tomorrow and add some pictures.

I also tried pushing it up from the inside, but there was too much padding.

#133877 Ok - No front end damage.

http://i29.tinypic.com/316223n.jpg (its hard to get a good picture of it due to the white paint. There is a crease nearer the front - which isn't that visible on this image.

Its pretty bad :(. Seen as roofs are hard to repair, the only idea I have is the paint is matte black
:?
Or maybe - install a sunroof, although i doubt it would cover it.
Any ideas on what to do? Or - even better, a fix.

Im going to get it tested, and depending on the results, decide if i should just sell it for a profit, or keep on with it.
Thanks,
Ben.

#133879 ya thats ot going to fix very easy... 1 its creased means the metal has streched. 2 its the roof witch is a lot of flatness, 3 you cant fix 1 dent without it walking on you.. the dent will move on you... so really adding a sunrooof will only make it worse. ya you can fix it but you will have to load er up with bond to make it strait and thus adding more weight to the roof. the best thing to do would be to have a new roof put on.... or find a carbonfiber roof that will just slide over your damaged roof.. just some options..

#133881 First EG vinyl roof?

Seriously now, I don't think the car deserves a carbon roof as it stands atm. I feel I could make an easy profit on it, and buy an eg with better body work.
