#98079 My goal for this winter was to get a powder coating kit and do my wheels the right way.

I got some old school Racing Sparcos for DIRT cheap but they were in poor condition. I stripped 'em and did a shotty job at spray-painting them white. Within weeks they were developing chips and scratches and I don't want to put them back on without giving them a treatment.

Anyone ever heard of Eastwood? They have some attractive kits online with some fake-looking reviews. Someone else mentioned them MONTHS ago and that's how I learned about them. I'm thinking of getting this:

http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=412&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=459&iSubCat=460&iProductID=412

Along with a couple bottles of powder, getting a cheap-ass oven and going at it. Any opinions, reviews, comments?

$269.99

I wish I could afford their fender roller right now, of course I wouldn't know anyone else to rent it out to either, so I'd have to absorb the entire cost.

I figure with powder coating I might be at least able to do a few items for people I know, and get the word out that I'm able to do that sort of thing, it might pay for itself eventually.

Thanks for the input on the company, I move closer to purchasing this everyday...

#98089 You have an oven big enough to fit a wheel in? My powder coating oven (never use an oven you intend to cook in again) is no where near big enough unless I was going to do some 13" steelies.

#98091 My rims are 15", I plan on buying a super cheap oven from someone second-hand from the paper classifieds or online.

I'm gonna check out that ebay store now, thanks!

I'm just trying to price out getting one of the "kits" or just getting the basic gun and buying what supplies I need, thank God I'm a math student lol.

#98095 That ebay store is amazing man, thanks for bringing that to my attention.

I'm gonna call them Monday to make sure they ship to Canada and see if they can bundle my purchases for one lower shipping price!

I'll keep this thread updated with purchase and review information and pictures of when I get around to the process as a reference for others.
