#310459 i am in the process of doing a bay overhaul. was wondering what everyone was using for seam sealer? plan was to remove all(as much as i can) the old junky looking seam sealer, prime it n then seam seal it. i would like a sandable option if possible.
do i have the process correct?
any advice would be helpful.

#310470 You can buy sealer off E-bay, just type in 'Car seam sealer'

Why would you prime it then put the sealer over it? You can paint over most sealers and in my opinon it looks a lot better colour matched, if you're going thru all the time of taking it off why not just get the car seam welded? A lot more rigid :)

#310507 The seams aren't welded for a reason. If u weld em n get into an accident.... I'm sure u can fill in the rest.
To my knowledge you prime first bc if you don't moisture can get in there n rust.

#310669 people fill in the seams all the time for racing. stiffens the chassis.

it might effect it during a collision not 100% on that

They aren't welded because its to time consuming and not cost effective..
