- Mon Feb 11, 2013 7:15 am #326175 i've removed the tint off my windows when i first got the car. i took a razor blade cut enough to just peel the rest of the honestly i dont think its necessary to do the steamer, i thought that at first but it ended up being cool.

if your tint is easy as mine to take off you prob wont damage the defroster.
+you will also have the GLUE to deal with which is a pain in the ass, you just need aircraft paint remover to make you life 100% easier

I use to work in a tint shop. Ur best bet is using a heat gun. Now remember it will either come out in 1 whole piece or in tiny little pieces depending if it's good tint or cheapo deapo walmart/autozone tint. Good luck!
