Well I am finally back to the Civic and hoping to have it primed and painted in a few days. While I was sanding some of the interior that was to be painted as well, I was wondering. What would be the best way to paint around these things? I will not be able to take my doors and hatch door off. Maybe even my hood. So I was wondering, what is the best way of painting around these and taping up? I was thinking that it would be easier to keep the windows rolled down to tape up the doors, but I'm not too sure. I've never had to paint a car where the doors and all wouldn't be coming off when I'm changing colors, so I'm really not sure to do about it. Would I be able to paint the inside jams of the doors and then shut the door a little to get the outside and it not mess anything up? Would the hinges look retarded if they were being opened and closed in the process of paint? I'm really wanting to get it all painted in one go, so painting part of it and then waiting hours for parts to dry before I paint the other parts really isn't an option because of the weather and me trying to make sure it gets done by Thursday.
