They use it a lot for heavy duty stuff and off road parts.
It has a real nice texture to it.

I believe this may actually be powdercoat.
I powder painted for 5 years and we used some paint that was almost identical to the pics you posted, just a different color. I actually painted my old Rockford Fosgate amp with it, sorry no pics, and always though it would look bad ass on a set of wheels.

#249713 so heres a pic, i first took engine cleaner and brushed that on, hosed it off after 10 min, took dish washing liquid and waster along with a 3m scotchbrite pad to further clean and scuff up the wheel surface, once i let it dry in the sun i applied some thinners but a non oil based type, took out the hammerite direct to rust metal paint smooth black, sprayed very light coats, 6 of them, waiting 15 min between each one and its come out satin black, im pretty chuffed with it hey, once i get another can and some more time ill do the other 3 wheels, wait a month foor curing then smack on the tyres

#250409 A good trick for painting rims ( best way to paint rims with spokes) is to buy one of those "turn tables" for a dinner table. Has a square or round board on a rotating base so you can spin the rims and paint for an even coverage

Works amazing and ensures prefect coverage

Ps dupli-coat high performance wheel paint works amazing too and it's about $10 here in Ontario :thumb:
