#83058 I've had my Tokico RAK kit for about 5 years and it's done well for me all this time. It's just as stiff as day 1 and I've never had to adjust the rates up from 2 or 3 out of 5. But now I guess I'm getting older because these old roads irritate the shit out of me. I no longer use the car for competition of any sort and I want something more comfortable.

I don't want to revert to stock because it's just pure crap as far as the driving experience goes. I liken it to running a 50 yard dash wearing a diaper that someone dipped in the pool for you (frat boys know what I'm talking about).

I was thinking about getting some stock Civic Type R or Integra Type R springs. It never occurred to me before so I don't know where to look other than the dealership ($300). Maybe someone can point me in the right direction and/or relate their personal experience with the swap. How far do they drop the car? What's the stance like? What struts are you using with them? How harsh are they?

I'm also thinking of switching out the springs only and keeping the Tokico struts. Has anyone here ordered a custom set from Eibach? They only list one EG application.

#83069 the Type R shocks are not that much stiffer than the regular cars...sure its a little more stiffer but when i rode in an ITR it just felt tooo soft kinda like regular suspension... but if you dont mind used check ebay there are some on there sometimes.

#83075 The stock ITR springs in the front are increased 22% from stock and the rear ones are linear instead of progressive from the integra (Stock GSR: 200lb/in F 95lb/in R) Aside from that, most of the ITR handling is addressed through valving on the stock ITR shocks. Front has 115% compression dampening increase and 70% rebound dampening. Rear has 66% compression and 31% rebound increase.
Heightwise..you won't even be able to tell its lowered by 15mm (25mm is an inch drop)

Eibach probably would have a good set of comfortable springs for you if you do go with a custom order. I myself never ordered from them but I hear they have good technical customer support to help find you what matches your requirements.

#83109 ITR suspension RAISES eg's, looks like a 4x4, mine was way higher on the ITR stuff than it was standard...

Ride is smooth but tbh it just felt like my original eg stuff, handling wasnt great really - way too much body roll for my liking

#83255 Good info. I guess I'll measure my Tokico's and try to price some Eibach's. If it's expensive maybe I'll wait a while and start over with Koni/Ground Controls using some street rates.

Thanks!
