1. got the 12v const
2. wired up the siren
3. the door/hood pin trigger wire
4. the ground
5. the parking lites
6. led lite
7. antenna
8. shock sensor

the alarm has the option for remote start but i dont need that so i didn't wire it up...the alarm works fine...arms/disarm, and shock sensor work great

the problem is when im driving the alarm arms itself and the siren goes off like if trigger the alarm....any hints to what it may be plzzzz help

- Thu Sep 17, 2009 6:13 pm #144579 When you wire it up w/out the remote start satellite, the alarm brain doesn't have an ignition input. So you need to plug in the ribbon cable that normally goes to the satellite, and cut the little yellow wire out and run that to your black/yellow ignition wire.

Much easier/better to get a non-remote start alarm like the Viper 5001. The 791XV is now several generations old.

You can disable the passive arming feature in the programming menu.
