- Tue Jun 29, 2010 5:13 am #202428 ok so the slot takes a 20a fuse and everytime i put one in it BLOWS!!! i put a 25 it blows. i put a 30 it just dims all my lights. the brakelight fuse is also connected to the horn i cut the line to the horn so i could move the wires. i blocked them off so idk whats going on someone help!!!

This is how you burn all your wiring and possibly catch your car on fire. NEVER REPLACE A FUSE WITH A HIGHER RATED FUSE.

You have a short. Get a multimeter and trace it down. Start with any wiring modifications.
