- Mon Nov 23, 2009 7:24 pm #158038 ok so I am not a wiring or electrical person by no means. I am having an issue with my Civic. First the dome light quit working, then the dash lights. Then the dome light worked again. Next the windows quit, then the power locks. Well I pissed with it for a while yesterday pulling all of the fuses, trying to trace wires and came up with nothing. Now today the wipers quit working. Anyone had any of these issues?? I dont have a radio installed, but the wires are taped off. I really dont want to pull the dash but Im kinda thinking Im going to have to. or drive the car off a cliff, lol.

- Mon Nov 23, 2009 10:27 pm #158064 how are the fuses's looking? some of them should be blown. take a test light and touch both ends of it and make shure your getting voltage on both sides. if just one side that means the fuse is blown ( make shure the car is on or atleast on 2 turns)

you can try poping in a new fuse but you most likley risk blowing that one. fix the short and then replace fuse.

it could also be a bad ground sumwhere but id check fuses first and see where it gose from there

- Wed Nov 25, 2009 6:31 pm #158402 You might want to check all wires again to make sure you don't have any wires rusted or expose where it is shorting by contact with the body.

Wire tracing sucks, but it sure makes you learn about your car.
