#243618 Does the RPMs jump around very quickly and erratically? I had a similar problem after my swap. The rpms would bounce around crazy for a couple of seconds then die. And I mean crazy, like 100 ->5000->2000->4000 almost instantly.

In my case it was a bad connection between my distributor and the wiring harness (specifically the crank and cylinder sensors). Check the two connectors coming off the distributor and make sure nothing is corroded/dirty. You might want to just bypass the connectors with jump wires and see what happens. The ecu relies on voltage readings from those sensors to control the engine. Hope this helps.

Yeah it goes crazy, my daughter and i make the motor sound effects to the jump of the needle now, its been happening for a few weeks and i just said f*** it.

But thanks for the info man i will check the wires out and see if i can pin point the prob, it does get very annoying tho like driving a beat hoop d.
