#39165 Question, how do you get the platic cover completely off of the cluster? When I tried the trip odometer reset was in the way and I couldn't see any immediate way to get that off :?

thats those tabs i was referring to previously. you have to push down on them then force them out, it's tricky but can be done.

when i got home from work, i decided to go back and do the opposite of what you said, and i put the speedometer, fuel, and hot/cold gauges into my original cluster, and plugged the other harness back in. even though it may not have done anything, i feel better that it's plugged in. my temperature gauge shot way up though, doesn't that mean the thermastat is bad? it's cool having all working gauges again! thanks!

Yes, but the plastic cover with the tabs on couldn't come out due to the trip odometer reset button. The whole in the plastic is smaller than the button, and I couldn't seem to pull it out, not with moderate force anyway? :?
