#184170 ok ive had foglights on my car ever since i got it....but the red wire was cut in many place so the didnt work(bought it like this).........so today i had a wire that i had no use so i start connecting the wires and i got the left side working perfectly i was all happy and stuff because its the first time i do something electrical :D....ok then i go to right side fog i connect it pulled the wire to the left side fog and both worked :)..then 15sec later they just stopped working both :x ...so now the dash/cluster dont work i most likely need to replace fuse.but my question is wat could of caused this..

#184176 The fog lights pull too much current for the circuit you have them on. A little surge in power pushed it over the edge and you blew a fuse. Disconnect your wiring and replace the blown fuse.

Instead connect them to the middle white option output on the under-dash fusebox as shown in this pic.

By middle white option do u mean the white space in between the orange space

Like i said i bought the car with fogs i guess i can say its prewired so i looked and theres a black connected there.....i changed the fuse and i tried the turning the foglights and they stayed on for 15 sec then i blew the 10 fuse then i put in 40 fuse and they worked can i keep that fuse in there ?

well sure you can leave the 40 in there, but you must also realize that the wire that is meant for 10 amps, you now have a possible 40amps going through there, this will cause the wires to melt then sparks and fire.
