Yes, you are correct. It's in the ECU. The MAP sensor is also a baro sensor, but it measures the load behind the throttle body, which is much lower than atmospheric pressure on an N/A except when you're making your max power. And even then you're lucky if your engine load equals atmospheric pressure.
The person that replied is confused I think. The Baro sensor inside the ECU can be disabled/ignored, but the MAP sensor is absolutely critical to running your engine. No one would even joke about disabling it.
