Boosted D = proven
Boosted D15b7 =
The aftermarket is not there for the D15b7. I may not be up to date on what's out there, but I didn't think those internals were available for the D15b7
Not saying it can't be done though... everyone thinks you need to have vtec to bother building a turbo D setup. Not at all! There used to be a boosted D16y7 running around NE OH making almost 400whp. It was a stock looking sedan too
It's more that the aftermarket is there for the D series which have vtec. _________________ Do Not PM me your technical questions. Post them in the forum!

it will work but not up to 250 hp. youll end up snaping a rod or somthing. even if the motor was fresh with all oem internals with boost your not going to hit 250hp. _________________

pretty sure the stock rods in those start to bend once you get to the 200whp range... _________________

why don't you just build a motor? your just gonna waste time swaping when it blows. by a block and head. get the shit you wanna put in and take to a shop and have em do the head up and the block and the you will have a nice motor. find a turbo and a ecu tune and you will have a nice motor tha will last for a while. _________________

y8/y7 cranks and oil pumps suck ass (not in a good way) and eat rod bearings.
you'll be better off building your z6 with teh vitaras.
i'm only pointing this out because the word 'reliable' was used in the title of this post _________________ street machines > dyno queens

well i want to i just say ill boost it until it blows because running d15s go really cheap around here. anyway it seems like i would be better going with a d16z6 or y8 because of the aftermarket support _________________ www.stlhondas.com

i just built my z6 with vitaras and FJ custom length I-Beam rods, i would look at FJdistributors...they have custom rods for both the d16 and d15, handle up to 500+whp
i'm going to be boosting up to what my "stage 1" clutch can handle ... just get a good tune and don't push more than ~220whp on stock d rods. boost spike/detonation of any sort and your done _________________
