Ebay radiators

Postby york62 » Fri Aug 15, 2008 7:17 am

Just wondering if they would be any good. for example:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... OTORS:1123

I mean the price is right. Has anyone had any experience with them?

Thanks in advance.

Personally, I would buy it. The price is good. The advertisement looks legit and the piece itself LOOKS aesthetic and reliable enough to spend half of what the auto parts store would charge. The auto parts stores will only sell you the radiator unit itself without any fan. You have to buy that separately. On top of that, the aluminum radiators at auto parts stores are on average 100 dollars. So this is like a 150$ value. I say take it.

I will buy one for myself actually...I have always wanted an aluminum radiator. And yes...the price is definitely right.

My friend gave me his all-aluminum radiator. I installed it and it leaked at one of the upper welds. It went to the recycling center.

From now on I'll stick with radiatorbarn. I've had two radiators from them so far and no problems.

I bought an ASI Radiator off Ebay, being the n00b i am though I got the one for manuals when I have an auto.

Needless to say when we got the old one out(which was destroyed) we found my mistake, ended up going to the wreckers and got a used OEM one for the same price as the ASI.

Fantastic build quality though, I was shocked.

I still have it sitting in my room with absolutely no use for it!

Bummer.

Well from what I have read and been told not on these ones.

The Auto's have the trans lines, the manuals dont have anything. So you couldnt even dodgy up a manual to suit an auto.
