Always seen this as the best write up for valve clearances and used it a couple of times no problem but just done this on my latest engine which ran fine but tappy and now it won't start without my foot on the throttle and won't idle unless I keep my foot on the peddle to keep it at 1000rpm. Need help advise or solution please.

Recheck everything. Had to be something that you did

Spoke to a Honda mate of mine (he won mechanic of the year last year) as I was working on a B16a2 he said the clearances were too close so went for .006 inlet and .009 exhaust which has worked sweet as.
