Well look tha reason I say I go for the b20/v is for the fact that h series tranny suck major balls.
But h series are 2.2 litre so they should have an advantage.

But you can have the best of both worlds.
Just put together an H2B. It'll cost you a pretty penny but damn you'll be reaping pavement!

stock b20/v vs an H22a, H will win. B20/v done the right way, vs an H2B swap, then thats a tough decission.

Best bet for a beginner, is to just get a B16a, B18b or a B18c1 swap. Those are all great swaps and dont require much to put in.

What?? You're saying that between a b20/v and h22 the h will win but then you say that between the b20/v and h2b you wouldn't know. That it would be a tough decission.
Which means you're trying to say that the b20/v is an equal or better set up than an h2b.

"I DONT KNOW BOUT THAT ONE"
And between me and my bro we've had plenty of motor set ups and I can tell you that my bros b20/v spanked any h22 civic the he ever raced. Fully stock of coarse.
Which is why they started the h2b setup. The h22 power and torque with the awsome b series trannys. But these are just my opinions and experiences.

I would say the B20 man, simply because it's a stronger block overall than the H. Also insurance should be cheaper, well it would be in the U.K, as it comes under the insurance group classification of the the vehicle which it came from, the CRV 8) plus if down the line if you want to turbo? B20 sucks stuff up like squirrels lol I would say the B20 though, not a big fan of the H series blocks

No he said the B20/V done the RIGHT way, which i'm assuming means no just a vtec head on the block but some work done it too.

H2B > K20 > B20

unless you build the B20 properly.
