Civic EG

Hi Guys,

Quite new here, been following the forum on several topics and got lot of help as well. Was searching the forum and couldnt find what i was looking for, so i thought i will post.

I have a track prepared S2000, which is for road use also, quite happy with that and well versed also.

I recently purchased an EG with DC2 swap from a friend, amazing car and in good runing condition. i stripped it completely, roll cage and all FIA approved safety stuff installed to compete in local touring car championship. Car was fine when i purchased, we had removed some stuff from the engine compartment and installed back in.

I took the car for testing and having the following main problem:

1 - The car suddenly starts stalling or feels like no fuel suddenly, sometimes it happens on the corners (but the fuel level is still high) even when i let off the throttle, the fuel gauge comes on half tank position, the car is still doing same, it suddenly works and suddenly stops (fuel or elecrtical) i dont know. Really need your help on this.

The mods i have on the car:

- B18C - Type R 98 spec complete swap
- Spoon ECU
- MSD ignition
- Spoon Spark Plug Wires
- HKS Spark Plugs
- Walbro Fuel Pump - Higher Capacity
- Thinner HeadGasket
- Spoon Headers - B Pipe -Exhaust System
- J's intake (Had the AEM, removed it)
- J's Racing Throttle Body (Had Spoon, removed it, might put it back)

There are lot more mods on the car which are to do with body and suspension, i can give you the spec for those as well, if required, but i think this problem is not related to those.

Can you guys tell me what are the possibilities? List all possible ones and i can get those checked, i thought:

- Fuel Tank Baffle or install Surge Tank? But no one else is having same problem? A friend has same car with K20 swap without issues, using same tank as mine.
- Something wrong with spark plug wires from Spoon? :s ... but then why does it run initially and it starts doing it after 1 minute of track driving and then suddenly it starts runing again after 1 minute and then again.
- MSD?
- Fuel Lines?

- TODA Spec C cams
- Individual Throttle Bodies

Which i will install later once the car runs perfect.

So far i have refreshed the complete fueling system, change the fuel pump back to what it was from Walbro, new fuel lines, looking for a fuel filter now. Any other pointers?

Getting some help from Spoon Sports in Japan, they are assisting online for everything. Lets see! Testing again on Friday morning. Should be fine ... HOPE so.

Sounds like your engine is stumbling. I would check your TPS and MAP sensors as I experienced the same issue with mine, no power than all of a sudden power.

it was because of stupid 1.5 way LSD i had installed. may be the installation was wrong thats why.
