Civic EG

Hey guys recently buy my first ever civic and I love it! It has the b18 top end and the b16 bottom. Further to my question when I start it from cold first thing in a morning I'm having to sit and Rev to say 1/1.5k for at least a minute or so otherwise it just bounces off 0 revs and will sometimes eventually cut of? Anyone experienced this problem and if anyone could help I'd be very thankful.
