#326295 ok so i came across a good deal on GSR eagle rods...brand new...can prolly get them for $200...they go for about $350..i also plan on getting new wiseco pistons....

-question is can i use the rods in my ls block with ls crank

-if i can use gsr rods...what kind of comp. ratio pistons do i need to make sure i dont have clearance issues??

my LS head was milled but i dont know how much was taken off

any healp would be great

#326312 the rods fit on the crank but dont use them.

i was always told with b18 or b series use the rods that match your crank.

i am sure you might be able to get them to work but it will take more $$$$.

i know the gsr rods are about 1mm longer.

so in short if you have regular pistons and assembly the gsr rods on the ls crank your piston will stick out over the deck height at tdc.

i took this infor from eagle rods website

B18B1 - Rod Length: 137.01 mm (5.394")
Eagle part # CRS5394A3D

B18C1 - Rod Length: 137.9 mm (5.430 in)
Eagle Part # CRS5430A3D

usualy when a motor has a longer stroke crank it has shorter rods.

#326345 Quite simply, no it wont work. But however if you're able to source a GSR crank then you may be onto something :)
