#308989 I would go with a GSR head. The stock intake manifold will work (whether you choose b16 or b20).

A B20v build can cost a pretty penny, especially if you want it to run right.

What is your budget?

Speaking from doin it now, Goin in to be Reliable is not cheap, excluding the motor, and head, I am maybe 1500-2000 bucks in, with out a tune. throw in another 400 for a tune and well thats about where I am total.

Gets Pricey!!
What I would get if you wanna do a B20V.
B20V conversion kit.
ARP HEad Studs
ARP Connecting rod bolts.
New gaskets ( valve cover seals and stems)
Make sure the head is good.
Fuel Pump
Injectors
Water Pump
Oil Pump
Timing belt

Thats a good start right there, maybe about 700 bucks,
Also you dont have to but you can get a New intake mani and bigger throttle body.

#308998 for the fuel pump part i alredy have a walbro so its a good start
i want to go an a budget because right now im spotwelding and paint the engine bay
also the engine that im buying is from the stricly honda dealer in greece
so it must be in a good condition...

#309063 Are you planning on leaving the stock B20 pistons on the rods and just adding ARP bolts?

Are you leaving the head stock as well? By stock I mean, no aftermarket cams, springs, retainers, etc, etc, etc.
By Stam
#309070 ok maybe i must replace the water and oil pump
but yes everything on the head and on the block except the the rodbolts(arp)
remain stock
what do you think?

#309079 You'll wanna use a vtec (gsr, itr) water pump and timing belt.

It'll b fine, but it'll probably make the same power with a lil more torque than a gsr, w/lower redline.

What do I think? Stock block b20v's aren't worth the trouble.

#309081 thanks for you post

im interested also for the stock pistons alot of people think they are garbage
is that realy the case?
what good -cheap pistons i can find to get a good compression rate?
By bks84
#309082 ive used 84.5 RS machine ITR replica pistons on two of my engines.
ive heard of people using 84.5mm YCP ITR pistons as well.

B20v makes more power than a GSR. Plus, with the ARP bolts you could rev it to 8.2k just fine. (Same as a GSR).

If you can build it and make it reliable you will not regret it.

#309097 i have to biuld the b20

here i cannot find all the right parts to swap a b16 or even a b18
a full conversion of b16b here starts at 3500 and goes even 4200 euros
and a b20 full swap goes around 750-900euro

here you can see a swap of a friend of mine he spend 5000euro
and another 450 for the legal part of the swap[/url]

clean work nnon the less
he also spend another 450euro for the legal part of the swap
here is difficult to find a good b16/18 swap in good condition and price
thats why i go b20

Are you talking about a stock block (p3f/phk) b20 w/vtec head making the same a stock GSR?
