What part number for my CAM SEAL? (pic posted) on my JDM B16

I have a few seals leaking, and I pretty much have all the parts I want to replace except for this one cam seal shown in the picture here:

(I believe this is the cam seal correct? right in-between the head and the V-tech solenoid?)

I have read a few forums with people having leaking cam seals similar to mine and buy some USDM B16a2 cam seals as replacement but have then not fitting properly. I know this is a common B series problem and would like to know what other people did when facing this problem for their JDM B16a. If someone has part numbers please let me know!

Thanks for your help in advanced! :thumb:

about it fitting properly stick it in the freezer for a few hours before you install it's just a hard plastic itll contract a bit so you can install easier. they are all the same part number at Honda. it's a p72, meaning it has a Integra GSR part number. So it should fit.

If not you would want to go After market like Golden Eagle or Skunk2

Just pund this out as well you can go to an acura dealer and get one from a Integra GSR from Model year 1993 it brought the B17A1 Engine.

After looking it up it gives a Different part number the a p30 in it which would be in preference to the JDM b16A (P30) which would have been that of the Eg SiR in JApan .

Here's the number for that.
they go for about $5.34USD

12513-P30-000 RUBBER, CYLINDER HEAD SEAL

Good Luck

To be honest it looks like you have an aftermarket cam seal, and if so then all you have to do is get some o-rings.

i thought that crease in the center there was a give away of OEM.

Nice, I see the difference!

I bought both the OEM honda one which is flat and I also bout the B17 one which is actually very similar the skunk2 one! Its rubber and is much thicker, looks pretty much identical to my current seal. This is a jdm B16a, not too sure if it should be the same as the 99-00 B16a2 they have here in North America.

I will post some pictures of the two seals later, just waiting for my oem valve cover gasket set to come in now.

Thanks for the link, those pictures helped me out alot!! :thumb: :thumb:

and here is the OEM one for the B16a2, stolen pic from blk92hb

I have not changed them yet because I am waiting for my valve cover gasket set to arrive, but hopefully this B17 one will fit nicely
