- Fri Oct 21, 2011 5:02 pm #278599 So i decided to mill my type r head 0.0196in. (20,000s of an in.) and run a custom cometic head gasket at (22,500s of an in.) which will put me right at 11.5:1 CR. Now my question is is this safe for valve to piston clearance?
