So im planning on rebuilding my b16a with a rebuild kit..
since I'll know what i have rather than buying a used motor imported from Japan thats been through who know what...
can anyone give me some insight on these kits?
what components will i be getting and what will i need additionally to complete the rebuild.
tried Google but no luck.....thanks in advanced :thumb:

Odds are high the rebuild kit will come top end gasket set, bottom end gasket set, and that's it. I haven't seen much on a rebuild kit, but I imagine it's more of a resealing kit than anything else.

Are you wanting to rebuild to stock, or up the ante a little with some better pistons, etc?

go all out i literally just rebuilt my b16a2 which is identical to the b16a and i have no joke 650$ into it new head, valve cover, oil pan, oil pickup, intake mani, exhaust mani gaskets. also all new valve, cam, oil pump, rear main seals everything is new in my motor rod bearings main bearings thrust washers rings 4 brand new valves new seats cut into the head 3 new guides put in. its not expensive if you know what your doing just take your time for sure
