Hello I have recently done a b16 swap into my car and its throwing a code 41 which i know is o2 sensor, The only thing i dont understand is that I pulled the swap out of my buddys eg,that i drove before pulling it and ran fine but on my car im gewtting that code and horrible gas mileage. Im runnig a p30 ecu the same engine harness and everytihng he had on his. anyone have an idea why it would all of a sudden run crappy in mine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Mike

now im just guessing here but the harness your useing came from a stock civic ??

since the integra harness is a different pinout.... what trim was your friends civic that this was in?

Who mentioned anything about an Integra...

What car did the motor come from originally when your buddy had it in his EG? OBD1 r OBD2?

i was assuming swap came out of an integra....as he wouldnt be able to swap directly a obd2 harness over to his car....and i do remember very long ago before people found it easier to just use the d series harnes some would depin and repin the ecu harness to use the integra engine harness.....thats all

I was wondering if it it was in the wiring from the bay harness to ECU. If your old O2 Sensor worked just fine pull it from the D Series header and stick it in your new B Series Header.

ok so today i replaced the o2 sensor with a new one and no change. I am not sure of which harness was used to convert it over to obd-1 it came out of a cx hatch i believe not for certain my buddy had sold his hatch already. So still no luck....

so if i switch the engine harness over to a known gsr harness I would still have the same issue?

The GSR harness will already have the 4wire O2 sensor plug and VTEC wiring, so I would say go for that. Just make sure you properly extend the O2 sensor wires by soldering rather than crimping. Also, use heat shrink to protect the solder joints. I made that mistake when I had to extend my O2 wires. Won't do that again.
