poor mans type r swap helpppppppp

1 ok guys a have a few question doing i poor mans type are swap as we speek ok now te motor is obd2 but iam putting obd1 fuel injectors,alternator,and distributor that would make it obd1 right?

2 ok now i was just going to take the altorntor backet off my obd1 ls and swap it on there but the alt does notline up to it do i need a obd2 gsr alt bracket?


3 also i have an obd1 fuel rail off a gsr and when i put it on the intake manny in does not go all the way downlike a cant bolt it down to the studs lol why? do i need an obd 2 b16 fuel rail?

Whats your original engine?

You can use the original alternator, just buy an adapter for it or cut the OBD2 plug of your loom and wiring it on yours (if you have the OBD2 loom)

You'll also need an OBD1 ecu to suit your engine

iam good guys a figured out the probs its a b18c1 with p30 head and s4c trans

The brackets for the the alt should be the same. I believe the only difference on the alts between obd1 and 2 are the connections.

As for the fuel rail, it could be because its a gsr fuel rail. Try a LS or Si rail.
