can i use a ls crank in a jdm gsr im working on my boys car

Yes you can. That's the setup I'm going to be running in mine. But obviously ur going to have to use the LS rods and pistons as well.

You dont have to use the LS pistons. You can use most any B series piston. Besides the B20.

GSR, ITR and B16a pistson are often swapped into LS motors.

I know that, but I never knew that you cud actually use "example" a b16 piston on a ls rod u know wat I mean. I thought u wud have to buy a b16 spec ls piston

Nope. They only pistons that wont just slide on the LS rods are the ctr/itr pistons.

If they are the right style for the rod I guess they would go on just fine. I havent delt too much with aftermarket pistons.

so can u put gsr rods and piston in ls and keep it no vtec also can i use ctr pistons and aftermarket rods

you can put gsr pistons in the LS, but you still need to use the LS rods. LS, GSR and B16a all have different length rods to along with the different strokes they each have.

ok now my queston is how can u make ctr pistons work in an ls and can i keep it non vtec

Put the LS head on the motor. all you are doing is swapping pistons. Though I dont think you really want to put CTR pistons in a LS. The pistons will stick out of the block and you will have a CR of 13.1:1. Stick with B16a pistons. or even ITR or GSR.
