u guys dont understand how bad his current motor is. we always have probs with it and the shop said it "might" be the head so the 770 for the machine shop to go through and then them to rebuild it "may" fix the problem..... i trust the shop and its a good deal imho.

Well if the shop ''thinks'' it may be the problem, instead of KNOWING it's the problem, you might wanna try a different shop.
can you record the noise it's making and post it? if it sounds like the head, i'm putting money on a vale adjustment fixes it. lots of cars come into the shop like that.

the shop did a valve adjustment. they think its piston clap in 1 or 2 cylinder, a dead piston. the shop is a well trusted shop and is the only one id take my car to. there is no way to tell for sure unless u take the motor apart sooooo should he pay for the inspection and fix or jus jump on the lsv deal

if your going to pay 770 for just that you might as well spend that 770 and rebuild the whole motor.

770 is for a head rebulid and a upgraded head studs, gasket,(toda) timing belt, water pump, for them to rebulig the motor its actully 1400...
