Ok ill keep it short and simple. Will the internals of a B16 head swap over to a GSR head. Such as the cam hold downs and valves and everything. We found a good deal on a bare GSR head and have a full B16 head. Thanks

They should swap over just fine, but you will have to get machine work done to it all. the journels will all need to be line honed to match each other. for the cams.

Ok so you confirmed my suspicion that the gsr and B16 head internals are interchangeable. However needing to have the journals line bored to match the cams is not needed at all$ I have swapped gsr cams into b16 heads with no modifications plenty Of times. Correct me if I misunderstood what you were saying but I understand correctly I believe that to be incorrect. I appreciate the help

you'll need to line hone the cam caps if you are planning on using a different set of cam caps.
cam caps are made specific to a head. but can but honed to fit to another.

Ohh ok so greased monkey was correctr I just misunderstood him wich I thought coukd be the situation. So the journals of the b16 cam caps are different size than the journals of the gsr head is what I'm understanding? Correct? Anywho I trust you guys . This just leads me to a new question... If the journals of the heads are different how are the cams awapped between the heads with no modifications?

i dont think the journals are different but when they make the heads from the cast. they are made just for that head. like you cant use b16 cam caps on another b16 head with out getting it line honed. and etc..
