Im new to this site and I was wondering if what I been hearing is true...I was told the that with a B20 vtec swap that you have to get rid of your ps & ac...and I was also told about clearance issues...I also have heard that a Ls vtec into an EG will also fit with ps & ac...but you have to either do some offset spacing of the back of the hood or shave some of the hood down inside to get it to close...Is there any truth to any of this? I just got 4-door Eg last week & I need more power...Anything you tell me is a help...Thanks

why would you have to do that? the motor fits in the bay.and everything is bolt on..... it would be like having a B16 with PS and AC or a GSR with PS and AC what would make it different with a b20vtec? or lsvtec or poormans ITR?

You can keep it just fine. Wont have to offset, shave, or tilt anything.

I was just told the Ls vtec & B20 vtec sits higher then the other B-series motors...such as the B16 or Gsr motor

Isn't the B20 vtec longer?? by the time you take in account the headers? I've been wondering if you can fit it with Ps & Ac because almost every civic I see almost looks like a H22 swap...No ps or ac...If it does fit any suggestion on to go Ls vtec or B20 vtec?

I have a B20 in my car. For AC, you just need the AC mount from a Del SOl that had the B16a motor. Should also be able to use the PS stuff from that car as well.

So are fairly pleased with the B20 you have in your car? And do you plan to go vtec?

NO, i will not go VTEC. If i wanted a VTEC motor, i would have kept my GSR.

B16 PS bracket will not fit B20.

See Chrono's Build thread, pg 4.
http://civic-eg.com/viewtopic.php?t=14680&start=45

Will probably need to use CRV brackets for Power Steering pump.
