on that link it says b18b1 come in 94-01 and not in any other year...the b18a1 is in the 90-93...so either wikipedia is wrong...or the first post in this thread is wrong....so which one is correct...cus this will solve my problem...my motor is stamped b18b1...so i can only assume it is a obd1 motor....please correct me if im wrong

B18A1 is from the 1990-1993 Integra, the B18B1 is from the 94-01 integra.

So your B1 could be OBD1 or OBD2. Easiest way to tell is to see if there is a pcv system breather chamber on the back of the block, if there is then it is OBD1, if there isnt, it is OBD2.

ok if the thing i circled in the pic is the pcv chamber...then i have it..and my motor is obd1...but this leads me to another question that is yet to be answered....can i use my wire harnes from my d15b7 obd1 motor and a p75 ecu with out any add-ons???if i do need any adapters what ones do i need??

yes that is the pcv chamber and yes you can use your d15b7 harness. Non-vtec obd1 to non-vtec obd1 is pretty straight forward. Some b7s did have 1 wire 02 sensors, all others with 4 wires. So if you only have a 1 wire one you will need to run 3 other wires for the 4 wire the b18b1 uses. And the P75 will plug right in if it is an obd1 P75.

awsome...that makes my life sooo much easeir...but what would happen if i didnt run the other 3 wires for 02 sensor...will it start throwing codes??

The o2 sensor wont work correctly. And yes it will throw codes.

you can modify an auto ecu to manual, but I wouldnt advise using an auto ecu on a standard vehicle.

oo ok...good thing i didnt win that ecu on ebay..lol...so do you happen to know how i can tell if its from an obd1 ecu from a manual car if they dont specify??? like any specific numbers and placement in the serial # or anything?
