#147564 every japanese motor just just stamped B18c or B16a there are no numbers after the second letter.

THe gsr and ITR motors are both stamped B18c. Visually the only way to tell them apart is the IM and valve cover. If someone has swapped either of those is down to the cams, pistons, or just trusting who ever has it.

#275880 Many various ways. Depending on if anything on the motor has been changed.

Dizzy plugs,

Head stamp castings

Lil black box on the back of engine

Vin tag just above oil pan under filter

just to name a few.

on that link it says b18b1 come in 94-01 and not in any other year...the b18a1 is in the 90-93...so either wikipedia is wrong...or the first post in this thread is wrong....so which one is correct...cus this will solve my problem...my motor is stamped b18b1...so i can only assume it is a obd1 motor....please correct me if im wrong

#276325 B18A1 is from the 1990-1993 Integra, the B18B1 is from the 94-01 integra.

So your B1 could be OBD1 or OBD2. Easiest way to tell is to see if there is a pcv system breather chamber on the back of the block, if there is then it is OBD1, if there isnt, it is OBD2.

ok if the thing i circled in the pic is the pcv chamber...then i have it..and my motor is obd1...but this leads me to another question that is yet to be answered....can i use my wire harnes from my d15b7 obd1 motor and a p75 ecu with out any add-ons???if i do need any adapters what ones do i need??

#276485 yes that is the pcv chamber and yes you can use your d15b7 harness. Non-vtec obd1 to non-vtec obd1 is pretty straight forward. Some b7s did have 1 wire 02 sensors, all others with 4 wires. So if you only have a 1 wire one you will need to run 3 other wires for the 4 wire the b18b1 uses. And the P75 will plug right in if it is an obd1 P75.
