Ok i can get a ls with blown headgasket pretty cheap or ls with a bad piston ring...both ls are the same price....whould the one with the blown head gasket be the better buy?

tough call...

the one with the blown head gasket may have gotten very hot and possibly warped..

wrapped means that the str8 surface of the head is now wavy or not str8 any more

well both will be good for a rebuild but the blown HG would be cheaper to get on the road :thumb:

but this is gonna cost you some si..lol

i might be building a b18a1 instead of D16z6...i lost the number of the guy with the b18b's for sale but i found a b18a1 long block for sale locally so ima get it next week after payday

The guy told me it came from a 93 teg ls so ...my car is a 92 so no problems

You'd do well to find a complete IM on Craigslist. People around here tend to sell them for about $50, sensors included.

Otherwise, OEM or bust.

What sensors is the manifold missing? There's only a few, IAT, FITV, IACV, and Evap pressure sensor.

make sure if you get one with a bad head gasket it comes from a MANUAL CAR. AUTO CAR's the head stud gives out in the middle. JUST FYI.

Im actually getting a differeant engine from a differeant person...but thx for the imput
