got a quick question. im buildin an ls vtec and waas wonderin if with a gsr head and pct type-r pistons (b16b pistons) would compression be too high to run 93 octane. zealautowerks says it will be at 14.35:1 but i really dont think it will be that high. if anyone can tell me please do thanks

everything ive seen said you cant go past 11.5to1 or maybe 12to1 on 93... ive heard of 12to1 on a really good tune...

x2 supposedly compression is un affective after 15to1, maybe before that in a honda because of the dome on the piston disrupting the flame travel....

I run 100 octane on 13:5:1 compression. Food for thought. :thumb:

I was going to be on 93 with 12.5:1. you can get 13:1 with a great tune and a great tuner.

That motor build has long since been killed. Sold the block, pistons and rods. I just have a stock D15b, and a stock B20z now.
